Gatorade And Netflix Get Stranger In Store

Gatorade has partnered with Netflix to present an exclusive line of merchandise tie-ins for the upcoming fifth season of “Stranger Things.”

The collaboration taps into the show’s nostalgic 1980s theme by bringing back a classic flavor and creating a themed counterpart. The limited-edition promotion includes a retro 1987 Citrus Cooler flavor and a new, dark-colored “Upside Down Citrus Cooler” flavor. “Stranger Things” season five will be presented in three parts on Netflix, with volume one debuting Nov. 26, volume two Dec. 25, and volume 3 Dec. 31.

Several in-store activations were launched to support the limited-edition Stranger Things promotion. Some of the displays included this Gatorade floor display and the Doritos pallet display. Both displays highlighted the collaboration with limited-edition product shots, taglines and Netflix related assets.

Doritos featured a limited-edition Doritos Collisions bag with “Stranger Pizza” and Cool Ranch flavors, as well as a telethon where callers can hear messages from ’80s icons like David Hasselhoff and Paula Abdul.
